A few images from our spring 2005 exhibit
Honoring Gay Pioneers: 7 Super Heroes

The William Way Archives is proud to highlight the contributions of seven groundbreaking activists. The exhibit marks the 55th anniversary of the American LGBT civil rights movement, and the 40th anniversary of the first gay street protests against federal discrimination. These same activists are featured in the documentary Gay Pioneers, coproduced by Equality Forum and WHYY-TV. The exhibit was co-curated by Steven Capsuto, Kay Tobin Lahusen and Cathleen Miller for the William Way Archives.
